Reusable Face Pads

These lovely washable and reusable face pads are handmade with two layers of eco-friendly soft bamboo terry towelling and are backed with a 100% cotton fabric, available in a range of colours and patterns.  The two layers of bamboo terry towelling make a very soft and absorbent pad and is super gentle on the skin, perfect for removing make-up or cleansing the eye, face and neck area.

These face pads are a great alternative to disposable cotton pads, as they can be washed and reused over and over again, not only saving you money in the long term, but also helping to reduce waste, and is kinder to the environment. The bamboo terry towelling fabric is also made from environmentally friendly woven Bamboo, it is highly biodegradable and eco-friendly, having very little impact on the environment.

Each pad is handmade and therefore, there may be slight discrepancies in its size or shape.

Drawstring Bag
The drawstring bag is made from 100% cotton and is available in a variety of patterns and colours. The bag is unlined and can stand alone, as it has a 3-inch square base. It has two 4mm twisted drawcords which when pulled will close the top of the bag; perfect for storing the cotton pads.

Mesh Laundry Bag
The mesh laundry bag is made from a durable polyester mesh fabric and features a patterned cotton drawstring casing that holds the 3mm polyester braided drawcord and a plastic toggle cord lock to keep the drawstring bag securely closed whilst in the washing machine. 

To use the mesh laundry bag, just add the pre-rinsed face pads to the bag, close the mesh bag by pressing the button on the toggle cord lock and moving it along the drawcord until the patterned casing has pulled closed, let go of the button and this should have securely fastened the top of the bag. Put the entire laundry bag into the washing machine and wash on a 30-degree cycle. Once washed, take the face pads out of the bag by again pressing the toggle cord lock and moving it towards the knotted side of the drawcord. Air dry both the face pads and mesh laundry bag. Do not iron the laundry bag or tumble dry. Face pads can be ironed on the patterned fabric once dry.

Care Instructions
The face pads can be washed by hand in warm soapy water or machine washed.  Before machine washing, we would recommend rinsing the pads in warm soapy water to remove any excess make-up and stains and then place them into a laundry bag to wash on a 30-degree cycle. Do not bleach. Air dry flat and do not tumble dry the pads. Once the pads are dry, you can steam iron on the cotton side on a medium heat.

You may find that the edges of these products fray at first, this is to be expected and should reduce after a few washes. Any loose thread can be trimmed, but please take care not to cut through the stitches around the edge.

If the drawstring bag needs to be washed we recommend hand washing in warm water or machine wash on a gentle cycle 30-degree cycle, dry flat and steam iron on medium heat. Do not tumble dry.
